Avery County Cycles makes the sexiest bikes in town. Each one crafted by hand. In 2013, the shop tested their mettle against the hottest craftsman in the country at a competition hosted by the National Association of Handmade Bicycles (NAHBS).
I worked with Avery to design a full collateral system for the show. Three motifs play out in the design: their head badge, an illustrated portrait of the owner and bourbon. After building a relationship with the shop they asked me to help with the paint scheme for the bike they entered into the competition. Oh, wait. I mean the bike that won the competition. Best in show. A national blue ribbon for a small Denver shop.
